Dear God (Saar_haywhy ft. H.O.D)

Dear God,

Where do I even start from? Cos this child of yours is heavy laden. Yes, I know you said come to me all ye that are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Though it’s true but, I have trust issues. 

Yes, I am a youth whose strength isn’t youthful with his heart lustful. 

I no longer have the ability to do what I used to do again. My pals tell me it’s old age but I know its death calling. So, I’ve been preparing my last wishes, waiting at the door patiently for death to come in.

You see, I can’t even tell the difference between thrive and strife cos each time I strive to thrive I end up seeing strife. So, I give up. Cos, what is the essence of it all when a pal or a protégé comes up to you and tells the wonderful part of the story you are expecting answers for.

Though I’m running a race and as Deborah’s Poetry said “The country situation can weigh you down”. For a fact, I must say it has! To the extent that even the widow’s plea to the Judge isn’t seen as been persistent again, it is now seen as a green snake trying to hide under a green grass.

Well God, I don’t think there’s anything you can tell me because even my folks who aren’t from your lineage but yet are created in your own image have tried to comfort me with some adage and word from your book but as it stands, I’ve given up!

Even my lover, doesn’t understand me again cos, I’m pained, heavy, but I choose to write to you just like the song, I heard! Gosh, seems like I know nothing about you dear God!

Dear child,

Just like it took me six days to birth the world, The dream of greatness gives joy, Birthing it  takes pain and sacrifices and when greatness finally comes to existence you'd definitely be fulfilled. 

Life might not work as scripted just because your arch enemy, the Devil knows the implication of your greatness on his mission. Therefore, in accordance to my will forsake strife and strive lawfully because you must thrive. You've come this far. 

Think of the sacrifices you've made, think of your failures, remember the rejections, There is no way you're giving up now.

If you insist on giving up that's fine but how do we encourage those coming behind that persistence is profitable?
