They heard, they saw
But they couldn't help.
Abuse of right, they did.
In shock we were.
The night became sleepless.
The day became scary.
Everyone looks like them
And we have nothing to do
Because it seems we've been surrounded by them.

EXPLANATION
Sometimes we see people been robbed of who they are or what they are. But, we just pretend not to see. People expect us to come to their aid because of our relationship with them but we just can't go because we don't have that courage and/or strength. But we can help by calling those who have the strength and courage to rescue them.
All this add up to their experience and soon those that are being robbed will believe others too are like that. It's only few that won't assume that others are like that. But, when they try again will you make them change their thought or still hold on to their thought?
One thing we all know is that the experience people get after an incident becomes part of them. Some might overcome the fear early, some late and some may not. Which is why every of our encounter with people should be good and we shouldn't be the reason why people won't be their normal self with others that comes after us because of our experience with them.
These experiences are what now shape them to be who they are now. The individual will grow to the extent of raising a new set of generations either by parenting, mentorship or by being a role model to them. So if our encounter with them has made them scared of who they are, how will the next generation after you behave?

When your neighbour is being maltreated and you are tight-lipped and silent, per chance it's your turn, there would be no one to rise to your defense, beautiful peace sir 🤗
