Let's talk about Experience on today's episode of Memories and Thoughts with Saar_haywhy.
One thing everyone should know is that, we are who we are because of what we've gone through. We've been through many ups and down yet, we still keep moving in life but with some of the experience we had.
And thus, we begin to fear when we come across similar or slightly different situations.
The truth here is that "There's no one who won't have experiences as they grow in life".
Let me share with you this with you.
I was going out for a meeting some years back, so I boarded a tricycle. On our way the tricycle bent a little bit but I wasn't afraid because, I knew our road caused it.
Moving further without knowing how it happened I just saw the tricycle (kèké maruwa) on the floor.
Ever since then, if I'm in a tricycle and it bends I'm always afraid that it shouldn't fall. Most especially when it's raining.
And sometimes I begin to wonder that where's that fearless in me that when a tricycle is bending I don't get scared. And the answer I get is I lost it the day that tricycle fell.
That's my experience. There are many people who have lots of experience that causes them to be afraid.
A kid who burns himself with iron will be afraid of iron till s/he grows old enough to overcome that fear.
We all have that fear, that comes from our experience and it limits us from doing what we ought to do.
I leave you with this word
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline."
