Hello my people,
Today on another episode of Memories and Thoughts.
We shall be looking at the life of a drunkard.
Before we start, let's say the Lord's prayer.
Going to the beer parlor to relax every night is something a drunkard eagerly look forward to. Because it is a moment to, forget about life issue. The time to drink is always fàájì (enjoyment) time.
Whether there's money or not a drunkard will definitely not miss a day. He knows that his friends will definitely help them. One thing is certain a drunkard will always have a drunkard as friend(s).
The owner of the beer parlor will even be waiting eagerly for the fàájì night, because sales on that day will be entirely different. A drunkard isn't even afraid of drinking because, he loves and enjoy it.
A drunkard can go to the beer parlor anyday anytime apart from the fàájì night.
I know you might be wondering why the word drunkard. Or probably you might be saying as Christians we ought not to drunk with wine.
Can somebody please open to Ephesians 5:18 and read for us.
"Don't drink too much wine. That cheapens your life. Drink the Spirit of God, huge draughts of him." (MSB)
So from the passage we can say that as Christians when those in the world are drunk on Vodka we as Christians should be drunk on #Godka. When we are drunk in the spirit we are directed. We give way for the spirit man to lead and not the flesh.
The next question on your mind is where is the beer parlor and who are our co-drunkard, right?
See a drunkard moves with a drunkard which means as Christians we should move with Christians. "Do not be evenly yoked with unbelievers". That doesn't mean we shouldn't talk to them.
We need to talk with people of like minds. We can use this analogy
Beer parlor - Church or anywhere believers gathers
Drinking with wine - Intoxicated with the spirit
Drunkards - Believers
So I leave us with this word.
Heb.10.25 - "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." (KJV)
See you next week Friday.
Shall we say the grace?
