My Country's Future My Job

Waking up in the morning, we pray for ourselves only (self -love) but never or rarely pray for Nigeria in a month. Did you even have a dream for yourself before talking about having a dream for your own dear country? But all you care for is your plan for the day, thinking your life is your mirror. What will it cost you to wake up one morning and say God bless Nigeria and work towards it that day.

Getting out of your doorstep, we board bus (for those without a private car). You struggle to board bus and still complain that "Abroad you don't need to fight or struggle to board bus, yet you say “it is this kind of Government I see”. Why don't you do things orderly yourself and see if it won't be the same thing with those abroad? For the private car owners, you think all commercial driver aren't meant to be on the road as driver. What a pity. Do you think all drivers are the same? If some of you were in their shoe will you be able to cope with life? Rather all you depend on is your value, your standard.

Public transport drivers, you wake up thinking the priority of that day is to make money. Thinking all you need to do is to drink chelsea, Opa eyin, doro bucci, alomo bitters etc. So as to go as many times as you could, to get more money. We agree you are doing all this to make all ends meet, that doesn't mean you should be drunk to be alright. To get a good future for Nigeria why don't you follow protocols? And see if the rate of accident won't reduce.

Traffic warders, how will it be when you coordinate road user properly without taking bribe from them. Doing what is right at all times. Wouldn't it be a good way to make Nigeria future a better one? What will it take you not to collect bribe? The highest thing you can get is hatred from others who collect bribe but your integrity will definitely be respected.

Conductors all you know how to do is to abuse and say all sort of nonsense younger ones ought not to hear. It is from your mouth that new comers in a state learn how to insult. It is from you that new comers in town will have the mentality that people in that area are dubious just because of what you did to them. Hiking the price for them because you know they are new.

Bike riders, you make collaboration with armed robbers to go for an operation. With that do you think Nigeria will be better if you keep on helping them? Don't you know that the betterment of Nigeria depends on you? When you are being called on for collaboration (with thieves) can't you inform the police about it? So as to make that area safe and peaceful. Nigeria future depends on all of us.

Policeman, you are the one that will arrange way for thieves to come and rob your station so as to get guns for their operation. Closing your station on time so as to be safe, leaving the neighborhood unsafe. May your conscience be judged rightly. Taking bribe from people who are connected to someone important to bail them out, leaving those without connection to rot in prison. Do you think it’s right? Going out to the streets and picking people randomly so you can get money from them illegally. Then how do you want people to believe that POLICE IS THEIR FRIEND with all this dubious act of yours. Where you see everybody as criminal just for you to get money.

Parents, early in the morning your voice is been heard from your room at the Street. It is always you in the community disturbing others with your violence in the house. How do you want your kids to behave when they are fully grown? Do you think they will know that their country future depends on them? Your children make mistakes and instead of correction you insult them. How do you expect the child to rule rightly when he/she becomes a leader? When you abuse him and he sees people do the same out there in the street. Do you think he will look forward for a better Nigeria? Do you think his country's future is his job? Won't he be comparing other countries with his motherland? I pray the eyes of your understanding be enlightened.

Teenagers, you always want to feel yourself. The joy to be free is always there but when your parent or elderly ones scold you, Is like Nigeria isn't better, abroad is the best. Among your mates, you always want them to hear your opinion but you don't want to hear theirs. How will you get a better future for your country if you don't hear each other out? Pride and anxiety fills your heart. When will you allow that igara-chicken (pride) of yours end. You better don't let it kill you. Just drop all those habit so when you become a leader tomorrow you'll be able to make a better future for Nigeria wherever area or sector you
 find yourself. A word is enough for the wise.

Teachers or Lecturers in the country who tries to take advantage of their student just because of the student behaved beautifully wrong. Causing the student to have illusion or dilemma. Do you think all is well after the wicked act you've committed? Do you think you can go scot free? With such act of yours how do you expect Nigeria future to be better? If the leaders of tomorrow encounter this before going to the outside world, do you think they will still have a strong belief that their country future is their job? Continue God is watching you from His high place.

As youth, you finished your service but because of unemployment. You got yourself involved in dirty jobs like kidnapping, theft, fraud, thugs, terrorism etc. Have you ever wondered if everyone is like you, would we ever have a new Nigeria? No matter how things might be for you, you will definitely have a follower and that follower will have another follower. When you quit or resist jobs like that, won't others follow you? But all you think of is "OWO NI KOKO" (money is important). You even have no dream that makes you understand that your country future is your job.

Just because you are in power, you rule with authority because you think you are on top of the world. You think you are the Mr. Perfect or Mrs. Perfect. Always doing things the corrupt way, yet you go out and say "THIS COUNTRY IS NOT A COUNTRY". Comparing it with other country. How will it be good with people like you in power? Why don't you stop your corrupt practice(s) and see if it won't be better? When you change won't someone follow suite? Then the change continues. But because of your selfish interest and gain. You feel good about it. Don't worry. I repeat again don’t worry because the day of your judgment is coming.

Employers, because your employee doesn't praise you or he does it only in your presence then you decided to have conflict with other members of your company. Or because of your assumption, you start gossiping about your fellow worker. Why can’t you ask such fellow before saying bad about the person or gossiping. Have you forgotten that life is about helping others? If you are behaving like that, do you think we will have a better future for our country where there is no love, unity, patience and cooperation? With that behavior of yours do you believe we can get a better country?

Political leaders, the time you only do good things for the citizens is when election is coming closer so as to get the vote of the citizens. You make use of youth for rigging of the election and your children wouldn't be involved. Why don't you treat other youth like your children? Why don't you let us know the real you and let us know who is able to help us in making a better Nigeria? Why is that you don't do things rightly? Why is it that any vacant place in your cabinet people you look to put in there are people who have connections regardless of whether they are capable of doing the work or not? You only care about your own political party and others are your enemy. Where you support looters to contest for a political post. Do you have conscience at all? Yet you want the citizens to be happy with you. The law of karma is applicable to all.

Religious leaders, why don't you emphasize to your members the need to be at alert so as not to be deceived by fake prophet. The place of worship is a place where people tend to cast all their burden out but when they aren't free to do so. Do you think that Nigeria will be a better place to be?

How will my country, your country and our country be when we decide to do things rightly even when the right things looks wrong in this generation of ours? Let the change begin with me and you so that our country Nigeria will be a better place to live. And by making it a better place to live let's live with the consciousness that Our Country's Future is Our Job.
