SOUL MATE
There are different definitions of soul mate. It might be suitable to you it might not. Urban dictionary describes soul mate as a perfect eternal lover that fate brings into your life. Dictionary.com says a person with whom one has a strong affinity, shared values and tastes, and often a romantic bond.
Not all may be comfortable with these definitions because, humans definition tends to be defined according to their emotions, according to how they view things etc. Some might say a soul mate is the person you will spend the rest of your life with, some might say a soul mate is the one you love deep within you and in return you receive love. Some might even go to the extent of arranging their love life just to get their soul mate. But my question is do you really know yourself before you say youve gotten a soul mate.
Charles F. Glassman says and I quote Before you find your soul mate, you must first discover your soul which I truly agree with Him. How would it be that you find yourself in a situation when you dont actually understand yourself talk less of understanding others not to talk of your soul mate. Finding a soul mate is not all about the person knowing you but about knowing yourself before knowing your soul mate.
A soul mate does not have to necessarily be your lover. Your soul mate may not be someone youve been relating to for a long time, your soul mate might just be someone you never think about. Most people have more than one soul mate. A soul mate can come in the form of a life partner, friend, child, or lover. A soul mate can be someone with whom you share a spiritual path, a joint work in the world, or a commitment to be parents to certain souls. It can be one whose growth you are sponsoring, such as a child
Some people might wait patiently for their soul mate why some may not. You waiting patiently for your soul mate doesnt it mean your soul mate will elude, it doesnt mean your doomed for life, it doesnt mean your life is useless, it doesnt mean you wont come to meet he/she, it doesnt mean you wont move forward. It simply means you just have to wait. Tghers an adage thats says what will be will be. It might not be applicable to all situation but it may be applicable here.
Do you ever think of what will you people say when youb rush just to get your soul mate and at the end your relationship ended. Do you ever think that if you rush into meeting your soul mate and everything didnt happen the you expected it to go, will you be able to cope with it. Will you be able to face the challenges you meet in your daily life. For you that didnt actually know yourself but you long to see your soul mate as if when you see the world will come to an end. Do you think you can go through the hardship you come across as you move on in life. This are what you ought to look before actually accepting your soul mate.
A soul mate is someone who has locks that fits our keys, and keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step our; we can be loved for who we are and not for we are pretending to be. Each unveils the best part of the other. No matter what else goes wrong around us, with that one person, were safe in our own paradise.
