Experiencing The Future
Experiencing the future is an adventure each and every one of us will have to do, but the question is what do we really understand by experiencing the future? Is it by how we live our when obtaining our first degree? Is it through our working experience? Can we say experiencing the future is based on how we relate with others? All questions raised above are all ways to experience the future, but to crown it all experiencing the future all means how do we live our life.
Future has to do with our lives because we cant talk about future without talking about life and vice - versa. Olakunle Soriyan said that a future is never a future because today was once a future and tomorrow will be a future. Yes, I agree with him because the word FUTURE works with time likewise life. So in order to experience the future we should make good use of time.
The error most of us have when waiting to experience the future is procrastination.
As we all know “procrastination is a thief of time”. Most of us do say I would do it later in the future not knowing that the future is near. No wonder H.G. Wells says the future is the shape of things to come. The future is really the shape of things to come because when we were all young we say in the future I want to be a doctor, engineer this and that. Saying all this we were saying or rather talking about how we want the shape of our life to be in the present time we are.
In conclusion I want us to start living our life as if we in the future.Never let the future disturb you. You will meet it, if you have to, with the same weapons of reason which today arm you the present says Marcus Aurelius
